What can I do whilst visiting Cheltenham?

Our picturesque town, nestled in the heart of the Cotswolds, boasts stunning architecture and lush greenery at every turn. Giving you the perfect mix of a countryside escape with a helping of urban creativity with our beautifully curated 5 mile Cheltenham Paint Festival art walk! Take a leisurely stroll through the Montpellier Gardens, Pittville Park or wander along the Promenade, soaking in the beauty of Regency-era buildings that are home to our neighbouring businesses!

We are incredibly proud to offer our recommendations for so many great local businesses that are situated here in Cheltenham town centre! Our studio is also just a stone’s throw away from the Cheltenham High Street and walking distance to the Promenade and Montpellier area. Cheltenham offers a vast range of retail shops, eateries and bars such as John Lewis, Urban Outfitters, Superdry, Next, River Island and many more! Not to mention our fabulous shopping centre, Regents Arcade which has a brilliant selection of retail outlets too.

Cheltenham comes alive with vibrant nightlife and entertainment options. Catch a show at the iconic Everyman Theatre, known for its diverse performances ranging from drama to comedy. For a more laid-back evening in a Great Gatsby inspired setting, cosy up with a film at the Tivoli cinema!

Cheltenham is famously known for its horse racing, the Cheltenham Racecourse is home to the prestigious Cheltenham Festival and Gold Cup Day, attracting thousands of horse racing enthusiasts from across the world every year. Cheltenham Racecourse also hosts festivals, concerts and performances all year round!

We also have a fabulous range of activities available at our Brewery Quarter which is home to Mr Mulligans indoor crazy golf, and escape rooms! If you’re feeling creative, there is an independent pottery painting studio just a short walk from the Brewery Quarter.

Where are the best places to eat in Cheltenham?

For a taste of local flavours at the top end of town otherwise known as Montpellier, why not head to The Ivy Montpellier Brasserie, The Ox or Prithvi for a high-end dining experience! We highly recommend our Paradise favourites, the Coconut Tree for mouthwatering Sri Lankan street food dishes or Cantina Del Barrio for the most amazing Mexican food and frozen margaritas. The Brewery Quarter is also another fantastic spot in Cheltenham, and only a short walk from Paradise Tattoo Studio, you’ll find a fantastic range of bars, restaurants and activities at the Brewery Quarter such as Nando’s, Brewdog, Mowgli, Flight Club, The Alchemist, IMAX cinema, and Escape Rooms.

Best places to go in Cheltenham at night?

We recommend our neighbours, Planet Caravan, who are located here on Bath Street just a few doors down from Paradise Tattoo Studio; famous for their margarita’s, beer selection and super tasty street food.

If you’re a cider lover, we also highly recommend giving Dunkertons Tap Room and Eatery a visit at Dowdeswell Park. If you’re looking to have a magical evening and plenty of instagrammable decor to take selfies, Imperial Haus is a stunning cocktail bar with an enchanted forest vibe!

Things to do in the Cotswolds?

Venture beyond Cheltenham to explore the enchanting Cotswold countryside. Lose yourself in the idyllic villages of Bourton-on-the-Water and Bibury. Don’t miss the chance to visit the majestic Sudeley Castle or wander through the serene grounds of Hidcote Manor Garden, Stow-on-the-wold or the Forest of Dean.

The Forest of Dean has plenty of activities as well as beautiful scenery to immerse yourself in. There’s Go Ape, The Forest Of Dean Mountain Bike Centre and a sculpture walk around the forest! If you’re looking for a fun day out, there’s also Cotswold Farm Park which is a brilliant experience for not only kids, but also adults too!

If you happen to be visiting us in the summer, just a few miles away there are beautiful lavender fields that are open to the public each year where you can walk through the lavender trails and take the most amazing pictures!
